La Azohia - places to go to eat and drink

There are about 6 bars / restaurants in La Azohia. If you fancy a bit a of a splurge, there are 2 restaurants at the 4 star hotel La Azohia serving international cuisine.

The bar at the southern end of La Azohia is well worth visiting and could become addictive! Referred to as "the Australian Bar", its real name is the "Antipodas". It is decorated with cricket and Australian memorabilia. To get there, you go past the small jetty in the village itself and you can see the bar up on the hill. You need to wind through a couple of small streets to get there. The bar has a limited menu, mainly sandwhiches and tapas, but what they do serve is very nice. The seating is mostly outside and is fine for children.



The views across the bay of Mazarron are stunning. Enjoy a cool beer and some tapas whilst looking out at the view.....................



For an evening out further afield, Puerto de Mazarron about 2 miles away has quite a selection of restaurants which tend to specialise in seafood. Further afield still (but only about 20 minutes away) is Cartagena which has the sort of choices you would expect from a small city.
